Kindergarten Enrollment for September 2026
If your child was born in 2021 they are eligible for Kindergarten starting in September 2026.
Enrollment will open Monday February 2, 2026 at 7 AM.
Once your child is enrolled the deadline to submit your documents is Friday, March 13, 2026.
To enroll your child on Feb 2nd at 7:00 AM or after that please visit www.sd23.bc.ca/school-enrollment
or click on the registration button at the bottom of our main webpage. Registration is only online, but if you need assistance please call the the school office at 250-870-5112.

Section A
If you are new to Canada and not Canadian Citizens, follow the link below to upload your documents for the Welcome Centre welcomecentre.sd23.bc.ca/materials
Then:
- Click on 'Apply here for fundable admissions approval' at the bottom of the Welcome Centre page.
- Create a new account (write down your password)
- Upload your documents (your child's and both parents)
- Register your child for school at www.sd23.bc.ca/school-enrollment
- When you enter your child's country of citizenship you will be asked for a code from the Welcome Centre, you can call or email for that code (250) 870-5155 from 8:30AM - 3:00 PM Monday -Friday or email welcome.centre@sd23.bc.ca anytime.
- Complete your registration online once you get your code. As you get new British Columbian documents (BC Services cards, Driver's License, BC Identity cards) please submit them to your first choice school.
Section B
Once you have registered at https://www.sd23.bc.ca/school-enrollment, if you and your child are both Canadian Citizens please see the list of documents below that you will need to submit to the school you have chosen as your first choice:
- Student's Birth Certificate or passport.
- Student's BC services Card (front and back)
- Proof of Parent/Guardian B.C. Residency (choose either a, b, or c)
a. Combination BC Driver's License and Services Card (front and back); or,
b. BC Services Card (front and back) plus BC Driver's License or BC Identity Card (front and back)
c. Proof of application for BC Medical Services Plan plus one item from the list of supporting documentation from section 4 below.
4. Proof of Parent Address and other Supporting Documentation (choose 1 or 2 depending on your choice in section 3)
- Ownership of a dwelling or tenancy agreement; or,
- Utility Bill (i.e. Natural Gas, Electricity or Kelowna Utilities); or,
- British Columbia registration of an automobile; or,
- A current income tax return filed as a British Columbia resident.
* If you need to apply for any documents (BC Services cards, BC Driver's License, BC Identity cards, Birth certificates) please do so promptly as they do take a number of weeks to come in the mail. Keep in mind, depending on the documents submitted above you may need to submit screenshots of your document applications (eg. choice 3c. listed above)

* If there are any legal court orders in place involving your child, please also include the most recent copy of the court order for the schools records.
